Un nucleo della collezione comprende significative opere legate agli artisti dell'Arte Povera. L'Arte Povera è un movimento  sorto in Italia nella seconda metà degli anni Sessanta del secolo scorso con l'idea di ridurre ai minimi termini i materiali ed impoverire i segni per trasfigurare le forme nei loro archetipi. Al museo sono presenti significativi lavori di Anselmo, Boetti, Kounellis, Merz, Paolini, Pistoletto, Penone
