In 2015, the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors created the Abstract Art Salon. This constitutes a great event, an excellent opportunity to present the talent and quality of all artists and has two awards instituted especially to honor the founders of the centennial entity and to finish recognizing the importance that this event has on the calendar. exhibition of the entity: The José María López Mezquita Painting Medal and the Ángel Ferrant y Vázquez Sculpture Medal.
