Ram is waiting. Across the sea, Ram can see Lanka where he must reach to rescue his abducted wife Sita. Sitting by the sea he feels the distance between them is impossible to scale.

Sita waiting for Ram to return from his exile at the Ashoka Vatika but the golden deer distracts Ram while Ravana abducts Sita.
Hanuman's birth
Desperate to reach Sita by leaping across it's vastness, Ram is in agony. And from the depth of emotional despair brings to life his super-human alter-ego. Hanuman is born. He dives into the sea and swims across towards Lanka.
