Mozambican musicians: Isabel Novella

The musician was captured by the lenses of Ouri Pota, a photographer and admirer of Mozambican music. His work presents a snapshot
of regional musical performances, highlighting the culture and audiovisual
productions of Mozambican artists and musicians.

Isabel Novella was born in Maputo, Mozambique, and grew up on music stages around the world. Since 2005, she has performed together with Neco Novellas (her family band) at more than 50 festivals in Europe, including Dunya, Oreol, Roots, Mundial, and North Sea Jazz Festival (all in the Netherlands). She has also performed in other countries, such as France, Germany, Bulgaria, Belgium and Luxembourg. Isabel Novella writes her songs in Portuguese, English, "Chope" and "Changana".
