From tavern to lifestyle boutique
The Anzinger tavern ‘Kirchenwirt’ offers traditional cuisine and modern traditional costume fashion. Barbara Stadler has transformed the inn shop, a former butcher's shop, into a boutique for the Bavarian way of life and runs Bavaria's first inn boutique.

Lifestyle costume instead of dirndl
The designer creates and tailors fashion from fine fabrics, inspired by traditional costume. ‘I explore this and reinterpret it as modern traditional costume fashion. We wanted to create an alternative to the dirndl, a lifestyle costume,’ says Barbara.

When it comes to production, Barbara relies on her mother as the creative head of the family business and on small manufacturers throughout Bavaria.

The skirts, jackets, sashes and scarves can be worn for all occasions.
The designer sources special fabrics and selected pieces of jewellery from Italy and Austria.
