Kachumber Salad

For Mrs. Azra Syed, condiments are an important part of the meal, and she gives this simple Pakistani side salad her own unique spin, making it healthy and delicious.

Kachumber is a salad made up of just 3 main ingredients - freshly chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and with the option of adding carrot or green chili peppers according to taste. Some form of the salad accompanies almost every meal in the sub-continent.

1 onion (sliced)
2 tomatoes (diced or sliced)
1 cucumber (diced or sliced)
1 or 2 green chillies (chopped)
2-3 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro leaves
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp salt
