Children affected by climate change
As climate change disrupts the environment, children are being forced to grow up in an increasingly dangerous world. This is a crisis that threatens their health, nutrition, education, development, survival and future.
Changemakers of tomorrow
Since the future belongs to the young, it is important to provide them with the tools and knowledge to safeguard their environment and surroundings. When children become involved with nature they develop a passion and knowledge for the planet, and an environmental awareness.
Hands on learning
In Kenya, schoolchildren are being taught how to plant trees and in doing so, an understanding of the importance of trees to their environment.

It's not just about 'planting'
The students also learn how to take care of the tree so that it can have a long, healthy life and spread benefits around the school, like giving shade, bearing fruit, preventing soil erosion and bringing rain.

Keeping the neighbourhood clean
Another important aspect of taking care of the environment, besides planting trees, is to keep your neighbourhood clean by collecting rubbish. This is not only good for the natural environment (plants, animals, insects) but also instills a sense of pride in your community.
