Royal Chapel

The Royal Chapel built at the same time as the Royal Villa was placed by the architect Giuseppe Piermarini at the junction point between the northern wing and the rustic kitchen, contrasting the symmetrical Cavallerizza.

It has a Greek cross plan inserted in a square-shaped external perimeter and is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception.

Designed by the architect Piermarini both structurally and in the richness of the internal decoration which is embellished with the stuccos of Giocondo Alberto Elli.

One of the famous workers who under the direction of the Imperial Royal Architect Giuseppe Piermarini brings their tribute to complex beauty.

We also remember Traballesi, Maggiolini and Andrea Appiani, all of whom will also lend their work to Brera with the architect from Foligno.

Among the scenographic decorations of Albertolli we find repeatedly the figure of the octagon recalled in the logo of the monumental complex of Royal Villa.
