Chineke! at the Proms
The BBC Proms, formally named the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, was founded in 1895. Based in London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, it is an annual eight-week summer programme of daily classical music concerts and is often cited as the world's greatest classical music festival.
Two years after their 2017 Proms debut, Chineke! was invited to perform at the BBC Proms for a second time. This time, Chineke! performed at the CBeebies Proms, called "A Musical Trip to the Moon", alongside members of the Junior Orchestra, the BBC Singers and a youth choir.

In the two concerts, Chineke! performed repertoire which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. The music was supported by animation, an amazing light show and a host of CBeebies presenters.
