The Majors invites you to reflect on the exchanges we make with the universe. What would you celebrate in your journey of becoming? Inspired by Igbo mythology, this exhibit explores Time as a force guiding us along its own plan.

Unlike the linear Western concept of time, the Igbo view it as cyclic influenced by both visible and invisible beings. Measured by market days, moons, seasons, and weather, it encompasses cosmogonic, mystical, historical, agricultural, seasonal, solar, and lunar dimensions.

The story begins with The Hero awakening as The Fool, facing dreams and nightmares, and wrestling with her fears and faith. She eventually emerges renewed, carving a new self from her old essence.

As a story that ends where it begins, it invites the audience to see The Fool’s journey, as a never-ending cycle of self-improvement. Guided by time, The Fool faces dreams, nightmares, fears, and faith, constantly renewing and transforming. Each return to the start marks a high.
