The exterior of Daegu Concert House
Daegu Concert House was reopened in 2013 as a classical music hall. It is a symbolical building with roof embodying the soft curve of the eaves of traditional Korean architecture and five columns.

Daegu Concert House consists of two concert halls, a Grand Hall and a Chamber Hall, and two practice rooms for the symphony orchestra and choir. The building on the left is the Grand Hall and the building on the right is the Chamber Hall.

The Grand Hall
First, the Grand Hall. The Grand Hall has 1,284 seats and is designed to satisfy all the acoustic quality of world-renowned concert halls. It is built in the shape of a shoebox with an ideal ratio and high floor height and excellent acoustic reflection material.

The Grand Hall in shoebox shape has excellent side reflected sound, and in particular, the space between the stage and audience seats is close which makes the audience more immersed and feel the audiovisual vividness and sound evenly.

Canadian beech wood (stage part) and maple tree wood (audience seat part) is used for the floor finishing material to minimize sound absorption, and the wall structure of the auditorium is composed of three-dimensional sound reflecting board to evenly distribute sound energy.

The Chamber Hall
The Chamber Hall has 248 seats and it has a structure which the performer and the audience can interact and sympathize with sound and visual, and is designed in optimal facility for chamber music, recitals, etc. where performers and audience can closely connect to each other.

The Chamber Hall is designed with Canadian beech wood (stage part) and Portuguese cork tiles to evenly distribute the sound and pieces performed on the stage are delivered to the audience with delicate sound.

Practice room of Daegu Symphony Orchestra
This is the practice room of Daegu Symphony Orchestra. The practice room is designed in the same environment of the Grand Hall, such as the floor height, width and finishing material, so that the member of the orchestra can expect the optimal sound in their practice room.

This is the practice room of Daegu City Choir. It is used as an optimal space for stage rehearsals due to the structure and reverberation similar to that of the concert hall.
