At 1,500 meters above sea level Bielmonte is in the heart of Oasi Zegna: it was created by Ermenegildo Zegna in 1950. It is a ski resort with slopes suitable for the whole family.

The work Ermenegildo Zegna put into revitalizing the upper Valsessera began with the reforestation of the territory and the construction of the "Panoramica Zegna" road.

Designed by Mario Vineis in 1952, the Chalet Bielmonte was originally a rather special sort of alpine hut, having the comforts of a hotel, but also an area for "hosting" a few head of cattle.

The Bielmonte-Monte Marca chairlift was the ski-lift to be built at Bielmonte.
Designed in 1952, it entered service in 1957 and linked Bielmonte to the top of Monte Marca.
