Where is Plaza de las tres culturas?

Plaza de las tres culturas is located in the neighborhood of Tlatelolco North of the historic center of Mexico City.

Documenting the site and sharing its stories

In 2022, with support from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico and the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation, CyArk held a community training and workshop to document the site and develop a virtual tour featuring community voices and perspectives.

Tlatelolco in 3D

A group of 20 young professionals were trained in 3D documentation methods including photogrammetry and laser scanning to create a 3D model of the Plaza and its structures.

Community Stories

Workshop participants also recorded interviews with experts and community members who shared their perspectives on Tlatelolco.

Take the Virtual Tour

The 3D data and the community member interviews were combined to create a virtual tour that is available in Spanish and English and seeks to raise awareness of this important cultural site.
