José Revueltas: His Journey As An Arts Teacher

Before establishing himself as one of the most representative writers of Mexican literature, José Revueltas ventured briefly as a group arts teacher at the Secretary
of Public Education. In 1925, before completing the first year of secondary school, José Revueltas decided to abandon his studies, however, the writer dedicated himself to studying self-taught in the National Library.

At the age of 24 he began his work as a teacher, joining the Secretary of Public Education as a special professor of artistic education, with six hours a week at the Night School of Arts for workers in Mexico City and then in the state of Yucatan.
