Oil painting is an art of the world. In China, it is a typical imported art. If the 100 years of the 20th century condensed the 400-year history of Chinese oil painting, the three generations of Chinese contemporary oil painters are the representatives of the integration and development of Eastern and Western arts.
This exhibition is an unexpected encounter between Gulangyu Island and three generations of Chinese oil painters influenced by both Eastern and Western civilizations: let Gulangyu record the immortal chapters written by three generations of Chinese oil painters and Chinese oil paintings! May these works with interlaced sunshine bring us a sense of beauty and a taste of the years.
