The Crypt
Reopened in 2016 after being closed for over 50 years, the Crypt of Leonard (the Crypt of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre) is once again a part of the city's heritage, becoming the new hotspot for Milan's culture lovers.

The centre of the city
It is an extraordinary artistic and archaeological monument in the heart of the ancient city, the true cornerstone of the Roman civitas that St Charles Borromeo defined as "the centre of the city" and that Leonardo da Vinci, on a map featured in the Codex Atlanticus, highlighted as "Milan's true nucleus".

The initiatives
Since reopening, it has already been the centre of several innovative initiatives: it was the first monument in Milan open only in the evening, it was featured in the book "La compagnia dell'acqua" by Giacomo Papi published by Einaudi, and it has hosted poignant night-time visits, cultural escape rooms, concerts, theatrical performances...
