The Plateau de Valensole is a natural region of France located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Its average altitude is 500 m and it covers an area of 800 km².

The Plateau is  particularly known for its lavender flowers blooming in July. Coming from the west of the Mediterranean basin, lavender was already used by the Romans to store linen and perfume baths.
