The roots
The Salón Tenampa originated in 1925 in Mexico City when Juan Inaldecio Hernández Ibarra decided to open a business similar to the one he had in Guadalajara in anticipation of success in the country's capital.

A place that screams Viva Mexico!
The Salón Tenampa has a main lounge, terrace and the La Negra lounge. It is a place that has grown over time, but it has the special feature that it is one of the few establishments in Mexico City that has never moved or changed place in 96 years.

The perfect location
Located in Plaza Garibaldi, between calle Honduras and Eje Central, it is part of the city center. No wonder that from its terrace you can appreciate nothing more or less than the Latin American Tower which was, at the time, the highest in the country.

The essence of Mariachi
During the 1920s they were not allowed to play everywhere, however, Juan Indalecio Hernández invited Concho Andrade, one of the most iconic Mariachis in the world, to play. From there the Mariachi never separated from the Salón Tenampa.

Mariachis
Urban musicians, who brighten up their lives with guitar, violin and voice playing 'Cielito Lindo', a traditional Mexican song, written in 1892 by Quirino Mendoza and Cortés. It is one of the most emblematic songs of Mexico.
