This is the oldest surviving map of Jeju Island. It was drawn from the perspective of the Korean Peninsula, so that the south is positioned at the top. The three counties (Jeju-mok, Jeongui-hyeon, and Daejeong-hyeon) and the nine garrisons, which were set up along the coast, are marked in red.
