Dalmatic made of white satin brocaded in silver-gilt filé and frisé threads, and with four widths of silk which are joined on the shoulders. The sleeves are formed by two further widths joined under the arms. There are tassels at the shoulders which match the fringe. The silk has a long repeat, which is disguised, as two similar but not identical sprays of large flowers succeed one another. There are linked by a curling stem which forms an asymmetrical cartouche, a feature of Garthwaite's designs of 1743. Green yellow fringe. Red lining.
