Projet Felix. During the Universal Exhibition of 1900, the Palais de Costume presenting woman through the ages was set up on the Champ-de-Mars over an area of 300 square meters. To quote the presentation brochure of Project Felix: 'Each era gave rise to a unique scene where woman dominates. The life-sized figures (...) are placed in their natural surroundings (...) architecture and furniture (...) the smallest accessories have been copied on old models.'The different eras have also been published as postcards depicting periods (Byzantine era, the Middle Ages, or the age of the last king before the revolution, Louis XVI) or historic figures (Salambo, Gabrielle d'Estrée, etc.)
