This was the main gun operated by division artillery. The Korean Armed Forces acquired units from American forces immediately before the Korean War, and the guns were used to destroy enemy units. While the actual equipment operated in the early stages of the war was the M3 howitzer, the model shown is the M2 model, which was the Korean Army’s main howitzer from September 1950 onwards.
