This album features sixteen folded leaves with 120 embroidered images of seal impressions. The original seals were engraved in relief or intaglio and are featured on the silk in either woven or embroidered techniques. Each seal is complemented by a rendering of the seal's inscription in the regular script (kai shu) in black silk thread. Meanwhile, the seals share a common element in that each inscription contains the character for “blessing” (fu).
All the seals with white characters are woven in the kesi tapestry style, while most of the seals with vermillion characters are embroidered. The various designs of the seals include square, rectangular, round, oval, calabash (a type of gourd), a blend of square and round, double-ring, and irregular shapes.
