This is the only known gold winners' medal from the very first FA Cup Final in 1872.
Wanderers and the Royal Engineers faced one another in the inaugural finale at the Oval on 16 March 1872, with a single goal from the Wanderers enough to secure victory.
Wanderers would go on to lift the trophy on four more occasions (including 1873), while the Engineers enjoyed one lone success in 1975.
