Royal College of Physicians of Ireland

Royal College of Physicians of Ireland
Dublin, Ireland

Letters Patent granted to the College in 1878, to avoid the necessity of a completely new Royal Charter. The Letters Patent modify the original charter in several places, and introduce new clauses around examinations and the election of Fellows. Most significantly the Letters give the College the power to establish a new order of Membership, between the Licentiates and the Fellows.
