This hugely decorative trophy was commissioned by the FA in 1896 after the original know as 'the little tin idol' was stolen from a sports shop in Birmingham.
The trophy was used until 1910. It is engraved with the names of all its winners ,including Blackburn Rovers, Bury, Preston North End and Aston Villa.
The cup was purchased at auction by then Birmingham City chairman David Gold in 2005, with the intent of 'saving it for the nation'.
