18th Century Playbill, Butler's Company, Hamlet

This playbill is for a music concert with two plays performed in the interval: Hamlet by Shakespeare and Devil to Pay, a comic opera from 1745 by Charles Coffey. There is no date given, but this example possibly dates from the 1770's, before the Theatre itself was built. Samuel Butler, the actor-manager of the Richmond Theatre Circuit, is cast as Hamlet.
