18th Service Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry postcard

The postcard features the battalion team and their championship winning record (46 played with 43 wins, two draws and one defeat). Raised in 1915 as 'Glasgow's First Bantam Battalion', all of the men this battalion were under 5'3'' in height. They saw action in the Battles of the Somme and Passchendaele and in multiple other operations across France and Belgium before being disbanded in 1919.
