This Steamer Runabout was built by famous Stanley Motor Carriage Co. of USA in the early 20th century. The Stanley, being the nation‘s most popular car from 1900 through 1904, produced 86 major models of steam cars including 6 body style variants. Model EX was regarded to establish up the fame of Stanley and its production number reached 750 range. The car was powered by an 18-inch boiler and 3-inch bore burner, producing 10 horsepower. It took about 30 mins from lighting the pilot till starting. The car cost $600 new, which was a small fortune in 1906.
