The Citroën Traction Avant, a legendary model, launched the era of frontwheel drive cars. In Chinese, the model name just means “front-wheel drive”. To save the economy loss from The Great Depression of 1920s, Citroen insists on the innovation, using the front engine front drive and full-load body technology on traction avant to achieve better safety and mobility. According to the aerodynamics design, streamlined appearance reflects elegant and lightness. But the huge research and development cost caused the debt crisis for Citroen. In the end of 1934, the birth year of Traction Avant, Citroen was acquired by Michelin. In the Second World War, the excellent performance model was widely used.
