Maserati S.p.A, established by the Maserati Family in 1926, specialized in the production of sports cars. EBS racing car was known as the “warship” by people at that time. Its body was long and narrow, under the hood was an inline six-cylinder engine, and racers basically sat in the single cockpit close to the ground. In October 1948, the International Grand Prix Formula Contest of new rules was held at the UK Silverstone, and Maserati won the championship through use of this racing car. Its upgraded model also participated in the First Formula One race held at Silverstone in 1950.
