American soldiers battling Europe came to love the local compact cars and took back home after war, which had an impact on the inherent auto culture in US. It was in this trend that Corvette was created by famous designer Harley Earl from his concept of 2-seater sports car. With obvious characters of racing car, the round small Corvette was made of glass fiber, light but tough, with headlights covered by mesh shields and the chequered flag logo indicating its pursuit of speed. The successors to C1 achieved excellent result in car races, and made the dreams of designer come true.
