Eldorado of Cadillac occupied a particular position, and it used to be the personal conveyance of Marilyn Monroe. Eldorado, meaning Empire of Gold, was not good in sales because of high price. But the convertible of 1955 turned its luck around possibly by adopting generic devices which decreased the cost and selling price, and by taking the lead of new decoration in its high Spoiler. The 1955 Eldorado represented American culture of automobiles, and American appetite for automobiles.
