A cheery and colourful advertisement by the Atlas Cycle Industries (Sonepat, near New Delhi), proclaiming their 'Eastern Star' to be the lightest running bicycle of to-day!"

Eastern Star as a trade mark was promoted by Messrs Janki Das & Co. who began to import bicycles in India in 1938, the cycles were sold on a larger scale throughout India. The Atlas company which is still in existence manufactures bicycles and the bicycle component parts.
