Aston Martin focused on producing luxurious British sports cars in its early years and was plagued by bad management and funds shortages, until 1947 when the company was taken over by David Brown, the tractor manufacturer. At the same time, the legendary history of the DB series commenced. The tube structure and light bodywork of DB4 is designed by an Italian designer. The car is equipped with a 240HP aluminum straight 6-cylinder engine. Its shape and performance is noworse than a traditional Italian GT car. Its subsequent model, the DB5, owes its reputation to the 007 movie “Gold Finger”.
