After England's successful World Cup victory in 1966, star striker Geoff Hurst was once again picked to represent his country at the 1970 tournament in Mexico.

Hurst scored the only goal of England's opening game against Romania. England progressed to the quarter finals, where once again they faced West Germany, however this time West Germany emerged victorious, scoring in extra time to win 3-2.

The cap is embroidered with England's opponents during the competition - Rumania (sic), Brazil and West Germany.
