A pennant from the unofficial 1971 Women's World Cup, staged in Mexico.
The pennant features the crests of the six sides taking part in the competition. A young, unofficial England side headed out to Mexico City, facing off against the hosts and Argentina in their Group A games. In Guadalajara, Denmark, Italy and France vied for the two knockout berths in Group B.
The tournament mascot on the pennant was named Xochitl, a given name in Mexico derived from the Nahuatl word for flower. Xochitl featured across a range of merchandise, including keyrings, posters and match programmes.
