1987 Roland-Garros Championships

Gérard Titus-Carmel was introduced to drawing and printmaking while in technical school for furniture and decorative arts design. Working in an expressionist style, his creation features a charcoal drawing onto which he has layered pieces of torn paper and paint in the colors of the Roland-Garros event. This artwork earned him recognition from the Bibliothèque Nationale (Paris) with their annual Poster Award.
