Noivoiloro is a private non-profit association that cares for the disabled. Because of the total lack of public funding, 80% of its activities are organized to finance 20% of the activities which are the reason for Noivoiloro’s existence: direct assistance to the disabled.This has transformed it into the most important civic center in the area, engaged in numerous activities: a café restaurant with professional kitchens, a theatre and outdoor feasts attracting thousands of people in summer, a dance laboratory, work activities, temporary housing and rehab for employment. Because of financial difficulties it builds its projects step by step, with great programmatic flexibility as a sort of large patchwork using different materials and drawing on private donations. It is located in a difficult environment in a predominantly industrial area, facing a leisure strip with new urban functions related to entertainment. The complex develops around 3 main tracks, deformed in the third dimension. In the roof of the main hall every line is different and not orthogonal, except for the middle one.
