A flower submitted for Rich Mix and Paint the Change's 200 Nationalities, One NHS mural. Rachel is a young londoner from Tower Hamlets who took part in the Paint the Change workshop in Wapping Youth centre. She submitted a daddofil, her favorite flower, as "it brings sunshine".
On display from September 2020 - September 2021, it was believed to be the largest mural in the UK to celebrate the work of the NHS. Spanning four storeys, this giant mural celebrated diversity in the healthcare service, which is made up of almost 200 nationalities across 1.7 million members of staff.
The mural was formed by 226 flowers drawn by artists and members of the public, then made into a giant piece of art by ATMA and applied to our award-winning louvres.
