2003 Roland-Garros Championships (signed by the artist)

The first woman to be commissioned to create the artwork for the annual poster, mixed media artist Jane Hammond created a three-dimensional artwork of clay spread across the canvas, upon which she places prints of great women champions throughout history. Her vision for the piece was to pay homage to said champions by contrasting the ideas of the slow red clay surface with the rapid movements of the players.
