World War II Victory Medal that belonged to Irving H. Rosenberg, who served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II. The campaign medal was issued to members of the Armed Forces who served at least one day of honorable, active service between December 7, 1941 and December 31, 1946. Rosenberg was a medic with the 46th Armored Medical Battalion, attached to the 4th Armored Division, which, in 1945, liberated Ohrdruf, a subcamp of Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany.

The front has an embossed image of a woman in a long robe and breastplate, Liberty, with her right foot resting on a helmet, a sign of war. In her outstretched right hand is a broken sword blade, and in her left hand, the hilt. There is English text beneath each hand and rays radiate behind the figure. On the back is embossed English text. A metal suspension ring attaches the ribbon which has a repeating pattern of a central wide red stripe flanked by this row of stripes: narrow white, purple, blue, green, yellow, narrow red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. A pin is connected to the ribbon, which has been folded and then inserted through a metal bracket. b. Rectangular cardboard box and lid covered with blue paper textured to resemble leather.
