js
11.2.1958.
Press correspondents today visited the Kent Oil Refinery of the British Petroleum Company on the Isle of Grain, to inspect the vast expansion programme which, commenced in 1956, is now nearing completion. The main object of this expansion is to increase the output of all products and manufacture avian spirit. It is estimated that the total cost of the refinery when the expansion is completed will be approximately £75 Million, and it will make the refinery one of the most modern in Europe. It will also increase the total refining capacity of the BP Group in
the UK to over 13 Million tons per annum.
