Campo Libero. Center in the heart of a property confiscated from the mafia: a place open to the public, devised to involve migrants, schools and young people, a space for thinking and acting.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Campo Libero is a mobile territorial control centre designed for the Libera association. Its function is to reactivate property confiscated from the mafia. Designed to receive reports on mafia activities and train volunteers in the field, Campo Libero is a small, mobile and self-sufficient architecture that opens onto the landscape. The cabin on wheels can be integrated with scaffolding that enables access platforms to be added and, when it is stationary, an additional roof level.

Libera is active nationwide with a network of over 1,600 associations and member organizations and over 10,000 members and volunteers.
The association promotes the social use of assets seized from mafia groups and provides education in legality. It is active in outer cities, where it makes the focus of its work the citizens themselves, who often suffer from marginalization.

Lo studio ha progettato e realizzato diversi dispositivi che promuovono l’utilizzo dell’agricoltura urbana e tecnologie a ciclo chiuso, finalizzati all’autosufficienza energetica ed alimentare, dove l’agricoltura urbana è utilizzata non solo come sistema di produzione alimentare, ma come strumento di coltivazione della città stessa.
