Lieutenant James [Reese] Europe and his famous band of the 369th Infantry in the parade in Fifth Avenue. Lieutenant Europe's famous band was known as the best in the American Expeditionary Forces in France. General Pershing borrowed it for a month. It also took part in the 4th of July celebration in Paris.
