From the Artist: While being cooped-up and recently retired, I decided to try something I have never been able to do - paint. My painting started with tracing and painting over what I traced. I continued learning by taking online classes and my skill as a painter got better. I started doing greeting cards and small pics. As the pandemic continued, I realized I like to draw/paint what is in my head. One day I was talking with my nephew who is a Director at the New York Public Theatre and he mentioned, and I agreed, that the days keep blending into one another. He added that his friends in the theatre started calling days Blur Days. I loved the description and I turned it into Blursville. I created the image and people loved it and said they wanted tee shirts with the painting on it. The rest is history.
