The National Exhibition of Art is the oldest national competition stage of Thailand that has been organized constantly until now. It aims to encourage Thai artists to produce painting, sculpture, prints and multimedia works which present their artistic skills. Gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal award-winning works will become the property of Silpakorn University, who reserves the right to promote works in all channels.

Lampu Kansanoh is a female artist whose work and exhibitions have been seen by the public consistently. Her distinguished style in contemporary visual arts is a precise use of brush strokes in vibrant colors. The proportion of human faces tend to be larger than the body, unlike realism which leaning against caricature. Her work showed facial expressions and body languages, all of which were carefree yet satiric of the society. She featured imaginary and real-life characters, basing her stories on personal contacts with memorable satire.
