The three shophouses at 7, 8 & 9 Bras Basah Road were designed by Lermit & Westerhout for Lee San Teck in 1903 and spot a different design from the rest of the shophouses.
For many, the 1st storey of 4 & 5 Bras Basah Road is fondly remembered as the former premises of the Rendezvous (Hock Lock Kee) Restaurant, famed for serving nasi padang since the 1950s.
