Bronze ornament depicting Roman gods; from left to right: the goddess Minerva, with a crested Corinthian helmet and breastplate with the figure of a Gorgon; the bearded god Mars, with breastplate and crested Corinthian helmet ; the god Helios, with breastplate and a crown of five thunderbolts; and the goddess Isis, with breastplate and a crescent moon on her head. These pieces were found beneath the sea in the area of Asturiaga (Hondarribia) and may date from the second century CE, at the height of the Roman occupation of Gipuzkoa. They probably came from a chest or other item of furniture for religious or funerary use.
