  • History of Technique or Style: The Pata weave is the conventional wear of the Dhruva and Muria tribes of the region. The heavy, thick, handspun cotton is characterized by its patterning in natural-dyed shades that range from the deep-reds to the dark-browns. The Natural dye is extracted from the root of the aal plant (Indian Mulberry Morinda Tinctoria).
